Val d'Isere is located at an altitude of 1,850m and is part of Espace Killy (joined with Tignes) which offers 300km of slopes.
The Espace Killy is named after one of Vals' hero’s Jean-Claude Killy who is a triple Olympian and grew up in Val d'Isere.
The charming village is dominated by the Face de Bellevarde black run which was designed for the 1992 Olympics and is a serious challenge for any skier to descend the 959m run with gradients up to 71%.
