Briançon (altitude 1,326m) is France’s highest city and is located in the Haute Alpes department of France. It is unique in appearance with its old city walls and Fort Janus overlooking the city.
Winter skiing is available in the Serre Chevalier resort and Montgenevre is only a short drive away if you want to explore further and over in to Italy.
Summer offers many sports including road cycling, mountain biking, canoeing, hiking and also golf.
